The attention brought to Justin’s picture for his charity has, of course, been negative. Justin cannot do anything without being attacked for something.
So the last two comments is what I posted on the picture. What bothers me the most is that the media never catches things that Justin does like this, but instead, captures him doing normal teenage things (messing around with friends, getting tattoos, and dating.) With that being said, everyone thinks he’s this huge douche bag that only cares about himself. That’s not true. At all.
Pencils of Promise is an organization that has built over 150 schools in underprivileged countries to encourage education and a better future for young children. Notice that in the title the world is “Pencils?” Notice that in Justin’s right hand, he is holding pencils? That’s what Pencil Of Promise is all about: giving children the tools in order to have a successful life and outcome. Those kids would do anything to go to school, learn to write, or even how to spell their names….. so it’s a very fundamental organization.
Justin has been a part of this organization ever since he became a star. Proceeds from his concert tickets are donated for PoP every tour. He has visited countries and built schools, as he is doing in the picture. He does a lot of work for this organization that is not even publicized or talked about. He’s doing more good for the world than the people that are hating on him are.
I’m not saying that you have to like him, or completely understand what exactly Pencils of Promise is, but hopefully you get a better grip on what the picture displays. It shows a child that is happy he is finally being able to experience going to school and learning skills that will benefit him for his future. It’s not about Justin Bieber giving him hope, it’s about just getting hope and someone that encourages them to have a better future.
So think about things and know your stuff before posting nonsense on somebody’s page who is actually making a change. If the child only getting a pencil is your biggest concern, get off your hypocritical asses and do something about it then.
